tire suggestions?

Need to replace rear tires with all-weather tires. Off-road not as
important as traction (rain, snow, here in Minnesota). Tires below came with truck. Any suggestions?

1995 Ford Explorer, 4x4, 2door. OEM: 225/70R15
Front tires: P235/75/R15 Delta Majestic XL
Rear: Dunlop 255/70/R15.

Thanks in advance.

I really like my new BFGoodrich Long Trail. Very good ride with very little road noise.

I bought my all terrain tires, Bridgestone Dueler REVO AT, just in case I needed it in Rochester snow... the times I have needed them to do the job they have been super. A little louder than the original ones (Firestones) but I am very happy with their performance both onroad and some light off road.

My wife's pickup has a set of BFGoodrich Long Trail and those also seem pretty nice.... I got them at the local wharehouse shop (BJs) and they were 200 bucks less than the set of Bridgestones for my Mountaineer. They are not all-terain, but for the price they were a great deal. Looking at the, I do not think she will have any issues with snow either... but only time will truly tell.

My $0.02 worth:

You say you just want to replace the rears? If the fronts are near new, I would try to match the fronts in terms of size, make, and model. Different manufacturers and even different styles from the same manufacturer will have a slightly different circumference. In 2H that doesn't matter. I don't know how well the 4Auto setting tolerates differences in tire size. I know I've had trouble (on my BII) with same size/different make tires in 4H and 4L.

If it were my rig, I'd do what I could to try to end up with 4 tires as closely matched as I could.
