Exhaust Question

I have the 4 inch magnaflow off road exhaust which dumps under the truck. It does have a muffler, and I do still straight pipe it when I get bored of the quiet. Simple flow through muffler that doesnt seem to restrict, but does quiet.

So the question is, does the muffler rob that much hp? Or anything along these lines?

Its prob just me over thinking the sound, but it seems to respond quicker. Just bored asking questions.

I asked Full Boar the same question when I got my first exhaust. Their response was if you put the muffler on with th little cups into the flow you will lose 2 HP, if you put the muffler on backwards it will still quiet it down some and be a 1 HP loss.

So there answer is very, very minimal loss of HP from muffler....
