'01 V10 Manifold project
Hey everybody...here's what I'm looking at. I have a 2001 F350 Super Duty with a V10 under the hood. It's a great truck, lately I've only been using it to plow my driveway but I'd like to fix a few things up, get her road worthy and put it to work. It's got a real aggressive exhaust leak. A friend of mine took a good look at it and told me that the manifolds are cracked. Got a few quotes to have it done. I've made the determination that I'm going to take a shot at getting the old cracked ones out and installing new ones. I was also warned that Fords in this vintage are known for having weak manifold bolts and I will likely end up having to drill out the broken studs. I was hoping that somebody out there has done this same procedure before and could steer me in the right direction. Thanks for the help everyone!

There's a bunch of folks on here who have replaced their manifold studs and it can be a real pain. Persistence and patience is the key.
