I've searched through the forums and the tech folder on the EGR valve and would like some more input. I've pulled the valve and its clogged something bad but it was dry as a bone and will clean it and replace the O'rings on it. I parked the truck nose down and the intake was dry as well so happy about that. My question is do I use carb cleaner on the EGR valve and what to do with the intake. The intake is really built up with carbon so leave it alone or break some of it up and vac what I can? Didn't want to put the valve back into something that dirty but don't want to stir things up if thats a no no. Thanks for any input!

Yes its in the Tech folders, I use carb cleaner and a plumbers flux brush . try not to get cleaner in the electrical side of the valve wrap a sock/rag around it, spray and clean make sure you pull the 2 disks and get where they seat and ware your safety because that stuff burns like, you can chip away at the soot and tape a short hose I have an short dish washer hose taped to a shop vac attachment. while your there clean the IAT2 senser behind the fuel bowl and MAP connection nipple to Intake
