first time cleaning egr valve

first time cleaning egr valve
i have a 04 f250 with 16k, i picked up a gasket kit from ford to clean my egr valve my question is there any tricks to do this i looks pretty simple just pull it out clean with some carb cleaner and a soft brush and reinstall is it that easy

A couple of important points: 1) use carb cleaner not brake cleaner & 2) do not get any liquid into the weep holes at the base of the valve.
Probably the hardest part of the process is removing the valve which can sometimes require some mildly aggressive twisting and/or pulling.
