checking resistance as in test 1, you are measuring across the injector itself. If you get a reading of zero, you either have the meter not set up, or the plugs on the head (the pigtails ) unplugged. you should be reading around 2.9 ohm. the other possibility would be all harnesses bad, which is unlikely. Test 2 and 3 need to come up open(no reading), as you are measuring for a short. but since test one came out all zero, 2 and 3 are in question.
please double check if you can. If you have a reading in test 2 or 3, check your harnesses under the valvecover. if you not reading anything on one of the connections for the injectors, you also need to investigate further for wiring damage.
If the test comes out good, suspect the IDM bad.
hope that helps.
if you need to , pm me and i can talk you through on the phone sometime this afternoon
I still have a CEL, I cleared my codes too I have only driven about half a mile.
Everything seems to be back to normal the truck is idling normal again. Its defiantly drivable, just something doesn't sound right Im probably being a worry *****. Im going to replace rear hub seals and take her for a good 25 mile drive. I hope the CEL clears it self.
maybe some air in the system??
I'm glad the idm made it run better. . But now you should get it scanned again to see what else is going on. Since the cel is on , a auto parts place should be able to scan it .
Yeah something is still wrong, after replacing the hub seals I only drove a mile.
I don't feel comfortable driving it, I am probably just over thinking it.
But so after replacing the IDM, its corrected 90% of the problem.
What else could be going on here?
