Sounds like a error on your end.

Put your meter on the lowest ohm setting and make sure you have a good ground.

When I get home I will triple check
But I used the negative battery post and was only getting readings on the grounds.

Am I doing something wrong.

My multimetrr was on the lowest setting

You should follow the instruction shown in the link I send in a prior post. Key off and disconnect the plug from the IDM . You only measure through the plug. This way you are checking the entire harness from the IDM to the injector. You can not reference to ground (battery negative) as you are measuring the harness it self. The instructions are pretty good. As for your meter, set it on ohm and the lowest meter reading. The meter will show max resistant with the meter leads just hanging in the air. As a test of your ohm meter hold both test leads together and the meter will show 0 ohms ( zero ) . Let us know, if this helps out

If you still haven't figured this out when I get home tonight, I will take a video for you. I have some spare gaskets, UVCHs, and some injectors. I don't have any old glowplugs anymore I don't think though. I can almost simulate for you the parts being in the truck. LOL.. It's either an error on your end or your multimeter just sucks.

YOU were right, there was setting lower (1k), I assumed it was the highest being 1000

Ok with my OHM meter at the lowest setting if I put the two ends together they read 2.5

But when I bump my settings and check my batteries they read 11.5

Let us know, what you find out by homing out the entire harness from the IDM to the injectors. I had some issues as well on my truck and also some IDM faults. After changing my harnesses and the pigtails, I still had to change my IDM though .

Is you meter a digital or a analog meter. The analog meter can be easily recall rated to zero with a small screw driver

I looked at your video . As you mentioned, you measured to battery negative. Look at the link I posted an do test number 1 through 3 . This is as far as I know the only reliable way . Each injector has a ground and a positive as you can see on the diagrams.the connections go back to the IDM. Therefore you should be testing exactly as shown on the big plug at the idm, with everything else connected,
to get a good result. Let us know ,if you have any question

Little bit more info: as you can see in the link , there are pin locations for each injector ground. 4 injectors share the same positive. The negative ( ground) is what the IDM switches. Therefore measuring to battery negative will not work . Hope that helps to understand the wiring.

Ok lets see if I did this right.

TEST 1

Any ways I took the positive and placed it in 23, then put my ground in 22,7,19,9 Each would bring the meter to 0. No difference between the 4.

I then put the positive in 24, and put the ground in 6,21,8, 20, they also brought the meter to 0. No difference between the 4.

Both power supplies read the same thing. No variances in ohm reading

TEST 2

I got no readings from each nothing happened when I connected the multimeter.

TEST 3

I got no readings from each nothing happened when I connected the multimeter.

So what do you guys think?
