CMP sensors check engine light

Good Morning, New to the forum

2004 F150 5.4 V3 136,600 miles
recently replaced less than 30 days.
motorcraft spark plugs SP-515
2 motorcraft CMP sensors
motorcraft fuel filter
clean MAF sensor using CRC MAF flow sensor cleaner
motorcraft air fliter

Issue: check engine light code PO345 no other code.
Symptoms: when one sensor is disconnected CMP1 or CMP2 engine runs normal. When both sensors are connected engine idles rough and eventually shuts down.
disconnecting or connecting the VCT sensors does not affect the above.

1- I will try this next check the CMP cables from sensors to where they end.
2-perform an alternator check.

Expecting not to be a timing issue (jumped tooth) bad cam phasers?

Engines idles very good and so far I don`t have the diesel ticking, just my injectors doing their work.

Has anyone encounter these symptoms? Suggestions are welcome.

Jose
