IAT2 sensor
hi fellas.
i have a couple of questions regarding the above title. today i went sniffing around like a bad worm.
anyway, i mistakenly snapped the bent flap on the connector. she plugs back in just fine. would that be a problem?
also, can anyone please enlighten me on the particular socket to use to get that sensor out? i was planning on checking it out and possibly cleaning it with carb cleaner.
i tried a 19mm deep socket on a 1/2" driver. no go. some fella at o'reilly's sold me a 7/8" oxygen sensor socket, but it's got too much slack to even grab it.
my guess is around 19 to 20mm, but the problem i'm facing is that a deep socket may not reach that far down because of that sensor connector sticking upwards. dammit.
any suggestions are welcome. thanks guys!

Dom Sears sells really deep ones
I had to get one for an 03 ICP Sensor removal it was so deep that to install the sensor I had to Fill the socket partways with a Paper towel to hold the ICP sensor to the end to get it started back in the Bore
they go to like 4 inch deep or maybe more IDK Lots of options anyways
Here we go againLOL DEEP ONES
So you went to check it and broke the Hasp on the sensor that hold the pigtail
Can you just put a drop silicone somewhere (Very small amount IDK) and plug the two together and let it dry you wont have to clean it Again now you have a EGR Deleate

yeah. its tat bendy flap on the edge of the connector of the wiring harness. tats so annoying! but then again, chances are these connectors feel like jello. mine was wobbly. i pried it upwards gently all around and it still took out the bendy flap. dang it.
the wiring harness connector slides back onto the sensor nice and slightly snug. not too much though. also, when i start the truck and run it, she runs good, and the connector holds just fine, so i'm assuming it's gonna stay. i hope so.
i'm guessing 21mm is the size. tats close to my estimation. fair enough. thanks fellas for the prompt response.
worst case, i might have to splice in a new connector on the harness. i think i can buy a new connector for $30 from o'reilly's, and it's a motorcraft part. part number DY984.
thanks benny for bringing tat up. i completely forgot about Sears. i had just bought my 33 gallon horizontal craftsman air compressor from sears last week. i'll check tomorrow for that deep well socket. i like to tell the ladies to take it deep, but they never listen, so i just do it anyway. lol.
