Train Horn Issues

My train horns stopped working a while back for no known reason. I did not have the time or inclination to diagnose the problem. However, every time drive the truck in the rain, the horns start working again for a while. Any thoughts on what might being causing the intermittent operation?

Sounds like an electrical issue.

sounds like a broken wire is making contact with the other part when it gets wet
