I bought a 2011 F-250 6.7 diesel with 19,100 miles on it in April. I have only put 450 miles on it so far (mostly short highway trips 8-20 miles and small town driving). I have not yet seen a regen. I think I would have noticed if it did. What indicates a regen is happening? Thanks.
It only reports for three seconds.
If you're focused on the road, it's easy to miss.
It's only a text change on the screen. No additional lights or notifications.
I keep forgetting to time a regen (I'm driving so go figure) but it's around 15 minutes at highway speeds.
It takes about 5 minutes to heat things up.
If you have the LCD screen, your instant MPG will drop quite a bit during the AR and then return to normal when it is complete but it will impact the average MPG.
Temps will remain high for another five minutes after the computer stops the AR process and will continue to clean until DPF temps drop down into the upper 500°F range.
