MM Hub Problems Anyone Else Have Issues
I have a bad vibration on my drivers side. Trying to get the drivers aide apart to take a look at the wheel bearing to see what it looks like.
I have a set of MM hubs on. I cant get the hub cover off to even look to see whats going on inside of it if anyrhing. I took all 6 screws out and its just as tight as it was with the screwa in. Ive tries both the locked, unlocked and everywhere in between position and it just wont come off.
The hub covera on both sides also have a bit of a wiggle to them, is this normal?

theres a seal on that shaft that holds the shaft inside the yoke where the wheel bearing and hub go on to. bad seal maybe? I cant remember if movement is normal after the hub and wheel bearings are off, because that shaft is removed when doing ball joints and the only thing keeping it in there at that point is that seal.
when you spin your wheel bearing does it make a grinding/scraping noise?

I just changed a unit bearing (wheel bearing ) on my F350 yesterday. It had been making a little noise for awhile and I had a strange wear pattern start on that tire then Friday on the way home it started growling so I stopped and grabbed one . I tore into to it yesterday it had no play in it that I could find and looked fine ( factory original part with 206,000 on it ) so I changed it anyway and yep it was bad even though it looked good. I would first look at your tires and rims, did you lose a wheel weight ? Move the tire around and see if the vibration moves with it.
When ever I install new hubs with Allen set screws like the MM's I put RTV on the screw and a dab in the screw recess ,makes every thing come apart easier and might help hold it together too.

Thweaxel shaft was moving freely there was nothing holding it.How much play are they to have in them after taking off the hub and wheel bearing?
I could yake my tire and move it up and down and side to side but the wheel bearing & ***** joints are brand new
