this is the second time this has happened. my 4wd quit working and both times it was caused by one of my warn hubs breaking. the back retaining ring has come off and the gears and spring come out the back of the locking hub. the first time it happened i replaced the needle bearings on both sides and the warn hubs have lasted about a year. another one broke just the other day and i was wondering if you guys had any clues as to what else could cause that much wear and stress on the locking hub for it to break in a year's time. thanks for any suggestions.

hi I am experiancing the exact same problem can anybody help me out i have warn gold manuel locking hubs. Today i pulled apart my hub because it was grinding and clunking. As soon as i pulled apart my hub there were metal shavings inside the hud. Anybody know what is causing this to happen?
