2007 with egr delete

Hey guys, I have a 2007 f350 king ranch with a egr delete and 4" turbo back exhaust. I bought the truck this way. I have no tuner on the truck and I don't get a cel. From what I have been reading this is unusual for this year of truck. Can anyone explain why I'm so fortunate? Truck is running fantastic and no complaints, just curious.

Likely a canned or custom tune still loaded on the PCM.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering about that, truck has lots of power especially wit Ed's atlas 40. There's no hole drilled for a pyrometer, so I didn't think it would of had a tuner on it.

I would tend to think more than 50% of trucks running a tune do not have an EGT probe.

Unless your truck is still running the as delivered PCM strategy flash. I have the VXCF4 PCM flash and the Post-Cycle "Buzz" FICM flash and my truck does not set a CEL with EGR delete. My truck was last dealer flashed in January 2007.

Makes sence, thanks for the explanation. I hope i don't have problems with the head gaskets, no studs.

Just use common sense and it won't be a problem.

The iffy part is if your truck is indeed custom tuned with a good street or high performance tune and you want to tow or haul heavy loads.

That's the big no-no.
