I use a ScanGaugeII

I have No Idea how much info it would get for this particular Model

It Has Programmable gauges

We can also get into contact with the Guy thdat Writes the Codes for the Gauges He has made me a couple Custom/Specific Gauges for the f- 350

Went back to the mechanic yesterday. They did pull another code ( no cel)
Intermentent Maf. He told me to change the maf and the maf pigtail. Just ordered a (New ) Maf today wont be in for a couple of days .
Will let you know how it works out.

P1100 is the code they pulled. I did find out that these last 2 mafs were remans.
Ordered a brand new maf and pigtail.

Intermittent MAF sensor is the correct definition for the P1100 trouble code.

Difficult to determine if the problem was with the reman MAF sensors, a wiring harness, or electrical connector, or computer Ref voltage supply problem.
With your multimeter attached, you could flex/thump & measure the MAF sensors Ref voltage at its electrical connector, to see if its getting the proper operating voltage & if you can cause it to be intermittent.

Will be interesting to hear if the new parts put the fix on your problem, so keep us posted on the results.

I would have thought a MAF problem would trigger CEL FAST

Don't the MAF Play a BIG Role in Air/Fuel Calculations

Don't it kind a fall into an emissions???

Maybe its not considered a Emissions CONTROL Device


Look around you can get a cheap DTC/Live Data OBDII Gauge that you can use on Lots of different vehicles

They come in Handy for SHure I have Several of them and they ALL Paid for themselves EASY!!

ScanGaugeII is the Exact Unit I use

All 2003 and older Ford vehicles will use the PWM protocol,

SO looks like you can get these Gauges

Transmission Fluid Temperature
Torque into torque coverter
Barometric Pressure
Cylinder Head Temperature
Converter Speed Ratio
Fuel Pump Pulse Width (Bank 1)
Fuel Pump Pulse Width (Bank 2)
EGR Duty Cycle EGR Percent
Fuel Pump Duty Cycle
Fuel Level
Torque Converter Line Pressure
Transmission Output Shaft Speed
Transmission Gear ratio
Fuel Pressure (if no FPR)
Horsepower
O2 Sensor Data for PWM vehicles
Fuel trim data
Air to Fuel Ratio for PWM vehicles
Engine run time
BARO
Fuel Leval
Catalyst Temperature for PWM vehicles
Ambeint Air Temp


Hey PAW Paw I know we can get Ahold of the Guy at ScanGauge Company and he can get us any other Gauges you might think a Person Needs for these

He is a Great Guy and even made me a Few Special Gauges I wanted for my Truck

He said the garage found an intermittent MAF, so maybe it was a "pending" code, the problem may not have happened as often, or long enough, to have aggravated the computer to set a hard code & turn the CEL on????

Figures the First gauge is Not there


Well I have MAF On Other Ford truck ad Likely More then MAF Volt IIRC

I think there is 1 More List I can Look for it

OK, good feedback on the new MAF sensor install, seeming to have fixed the stumble problem. Was this a new Ford/Motorcraft part, or Ford sanctioned reman part????

Was a brand new( not reman) Delphi. From a local Parts store here .
1 year guarentee. Need to look at the fuel trims here in a few days.

OK, new Delphi MAF sensor. Did you fix the air box fastner, so that air leaks don't dirty up the new MAF sensor????

You might consider the KAM wipe to clear the old corrupt fuel trim tables & perform the idle relearn in post 12 link.

did the kam wipe when i installed the maf. haven't fixed the air box yet.
just got out from under some kind of bug that sent me to the hosp for 3 days.hope to do it this weekend when i get my strength up.
