OK, good, so is it idling ok now, not stalling when coming to a stop????
With no dash warning lights being lit after it stalls, suggests a power problem to the computer, so have you tried swapping out the under hood computer power relay located in the power distribution box, with a known good like relay not needed to run the engine, like the AC power relay????
If you've swapped the power relay without joy, when it stalls, will the interior, or head lights still light up????
OK, so I take it that the stall when coming to a stop problem has been fixed, right????
When its cold & acting out & not wanting to go at throttle up, do a fuel pressure & fuel delivery volume rate over time test, with a fuel pressure gauge connected at the fuel rail Schrader valve test port & post the Numbers.
It didn't make any difference Swapping out the relays. Still getting a stall when warmed up and restarting the truck.Got gas and turned it over and it started and then stalled. Then ran fine.
Checked fuel pressure.
KOEO 62lbs.
KOER 68
when i shut it off it leaked down 60 lbs.
Thanks
Ok, good testing & feedback. Not likely a need to replace the fuel filter with only 4K miles on it.
Our fuel pressure needs to be between 64 +/- 8psi, so your pressure is ok. BUT, how long does it take to leak down to 60psi???? What does fuel pressure look like after say 30min after a hot engine shut down?????
Before restarting after a hot shut down, what happens if you cycle the ignition switch from Off to On, pausing at On long enough for the fuel pump to cycle on then time out & turn itself off (about a 2 second pause at KOEO), say do it 3-4 times, Then crank the engine, does it then not hot stall after a start????
If no stall joy after cycling the ignition switch before a hot restart, are you certain that the vapor pressure of the fuel your using is within specification for your area. I'm thinking vapor lock after an engine shut down hot soak!!!!
OK, well be sure to get a fuel pressure test at the fuel rail when it stalls & post the Number. If fuel pressure looks ok, do a spark test with your inductive timing light on any plug wire, to see if spark is going missing.
Haven't had a chance to do that yet. Changed plugs in it last weekend.
Still had stalling issues. Plus i lost a brake line on the way home. Yikes!
What size would i need to replace the line from the front to back and how many feet?
Thanks
