Where should I mount the proportioning valve on my 75 HB?
Your truck already has a proportioning (Brake Pressure Differential) valve (see 2B257 in pic). All 1967 and later FoMoCo vehicles with dual master cylinders came with one.
If you swapped in disc brakes, the valve is different than used with drum brakes.
Thanks Number dummy for the part numbers. I did swap in disks up front. I was going to use the one from the 2wd donor truck i bought. It had front disk brakes.
Hope these help. Truck is a little more assembled than previous picture. Bracket mounts on inside of frame and spaces prop valve just past edge of frame. It's bolted to thru frame from outside. See pic with two angled hex head bolts. Prop valve then bolts to bracket. Kind of a c-hannel type bracket with nuts welded on inside of bracket. Maybe your frame is pre-drilled for bracket maybe not. Tried to show shock to give you an idea of location.
