I have a 1969 F100 with drum brakes and I have change the front to disc brakes. I got the proportioning valve for the disc brakes off that 73 when I got the I-Beams and disc set up, but on my 69 drum set up there is a brass block on the cross member area that the front brake lines go to. I think it is a equalizing valve or that is my best guess. Do I need this with my disc brake set up or was it just for the drum brake set up ? Where might I find a drawing diagram of this so I can refresh my shot memory as how to put this back correctly. Thank you!!

I think it is a equalizing valve (no such thing).

All 1967 and later F100/350's with a dual master cylinder have a Brake Pressure Differential Valve that some call a proportioning valve.
This is what your truck came with: C8TZ-2B257-D .. Brake Pressure Differential Valve = 1968/72 F100/250 2WD & F350 except F250/350 with optional dual piston caliper front disc brakes.
Since you are swapping in discs, you need to remove this valve and replace it with the one you got with the 1973 parts.
D5TA-2B524FB This is the identification on the proportioning valve I removed when getting the I-Beams and disc brake set out and will use this one. The one that is 07#03 9-WN C8TA 2B257M is a pressure differential valve and is not used. That is great since I was trying to make scents out of where it went. Thank you ND things are starting to work out better.

Reason: need explaining
The local wrecking yard guy told me it was a73 so now it is good to know 75 to 79. I will be ordering a power brake booster for this truck since it did not have power brakes and I will ask for a 75 and see how that works. Thank you for the up date on the year. This valve also has a rubber cover that snaps over a pin on one end and that rubber cover has seen better days and I will see if it can be had. Thanks ND.
