I want to try to clean my exhaust tips, since they are looking bad with what looks like asphalt baked onto them, and a rust streak on one, that was caused by a hole in the bed, that has since been repaired.
Can anyone recommend something to get these clean again? Or am I out of luck?
I used a brillo pad like Bob suggested and then used the Turtle Wax, Chrome Polisher.
It made a huge difference. It didn't get all the black spots off, but It made them look A LOT better
You can also use real fine steel wool to keep them up. I got tired of cleaning exhaust tips on my truck, so I got rid of them. I think it looks better with out them or any visible exhaust pipe.
