what is the factory cab light spacing for a 07 super duty with sun roof??
looking for measurements from the front window seal and sides....
looking to install aftermarket vms racing smoked lights on my 07 outlaw and just want it to look good... have read several threads on installing but dont remember seeing the measurements
I put mine @ 8" and 13" from center. 5.5" from rubber windshield seal. I think it is @ 42" from center to center of outside lights. That is pretty close to factory.
My dimensions are very close to what bpounds posted.
When I did my wife's truck, I obtained the lights from a F-450 at a salvage yard. Once the lights were removed, I laid a piece of pattern paper on the cab and traced the location of the holes. I think the aftermarket lights work with a 7/8" dia hole but the OEM lights that I had did not....I had to enlarge the hole a little bit to get them to fit. I think I ended up with 1 1/8" or something like that...
Has anyone ever evenly spaced cab lights on a 2000 to 2016 super duty f250 or f350? all I've seen is the 3 middle ones evenly spaced and the 2 side ones are spaced different but I want to make them even.
probably should have just started your own thread.
Technically you can space them however you want. Just measure it and figure it out.
the way they are normally setup has been the standard since the beginning of time. there is most likely reason for it. Although I noticed Dodge has used equalish spacing IIRC. everything else uses the national standard
Ok thanks I'll probably do some research but I wanted to know if anyone had ever evenly spaced cab lights on a ford, because I've seen all the Dodges have evenly cab lights.
Wow, 10 year old thread, and all the links still work.
You have everything you need in this thread to figure out equal spacing. The outer holes will still be in the OEM location, and the center hole will be also, you'll just move the last two outward slightly. The math is so simple that I feel I would be insulting you if I did it for you.
