99 Ranger 4.0L P1151 check engine
My Ranger has had a check engine on for a while now and I finally have another car that I can drive so I can take this apart and fix it. I have done the scans and got a P1151 code.
I have tried looking for a vacuum leak with carb cleaner but have had no luck. Could somebody post a picture to help me identify all of the vacuum lines? I want to make sure and check all those before doing anything drastic.
Also I have heard of problems with the fuel rail-to-intake gasket manifold but the Ford TSB is for '97 Rangers with the 4.0L. My question is was this a problem for '99 Rangers too?
Thanks for the help!

The P1151 code - by itself - is usually indicative of a failed oxygen sensor, or faulty circuitry (wiring, connectors etc. ). So you want to start by disconnecting the harness connector of the 02 sensor (located on drivers side, before the cat) and checking for moisture, bent/broken pins, or any other issues. Follow the wiring as far as you can and look for any breaks or cuts.

It's been several years since I replaced the 02 sensors on my Ranger. I remember removing a wheel and splashguard to gain better access to one of them. Unfortunately, I forgot which side it was.
It's probably like you say, the driver's side. Hopefully someone else will chime and confirm...
