I'm sure it could be matched at Fastenal or McMaster-Carr, but I do not recall anyone having to do that.

Inspect the wiring harness from the FICM, over the intake and along the valve cover.

Remove the valve cover and visually inspect the injector wiring and coils.

Will do. On a side note the injector harness is new was just installed today along with the FICM. The truck had a miss with the old FICM and harness. The miss was still there with the new parts. On the test drive the truck developed a sudden shudder and the miss got much worse. That is when the P0277 code came up. Could the coil have been on its' way out from the bad FICM?

Doubt it, but possible.

Another possibility is to swap injectors and see if the issue follows it.

Check the wires going to each coil. The 2 to one side of the injector and the 2 to the other. The resistance should match. Also check each wire to the injector body should read infinite or a really high resistance.

Tested .7 on both coils. I removed the spool valve. It was a little sticky so I gave it a 1000 grit polish but upon further inspection the Open coil (pic 1)looked fine but the close coil (pic 2) had a crust on it. After cleaning it (I had to scrape it) it appears the plastic ring on the close coil is burnt. The little chunk was between the spool valve and the close coil. I assume the coil has failed and gave me the P0277?

A burnt coil could cause an issue.

Yep, that doesn't look good.

Too bad those coil sets aren't available seperately.

The Coil ohms out good so electronically hasnt burned up yet

almost like the FICM injector driver Failed and Didn't shut off this where a NOID Light would have been handy testing the Old FICm

Might be something that tests OK cold, but screws up as it heats up. A heat gun or blow dryer might show different results.

Or the crud had a lower magnetic draw on the spool not allowing it to function correctly.
