I hate to say it, but I believe there is no such thing. Any carb that has been "laying around" is going to need a kit. All the seals have dried up and it's a safe bet if it even runs, it's going to leak fuel everywhere.
Believe it or not we have have one that my son may be interested in getting rid of. He just replaced his with a 4 bbl (I think - it may have been a 2 bbl). Anyway, it was working fine before he made the change and I told him he needs to put it on craigslist or something. If you are interested I'll see if he wants to get rid of it. It came off his 1983 truck.
And never forget, rebuilding carburetors is not too bad, especially single barrels. I did it myself last year for the first time and it took me an hour. The kits come with all you need (plus some) and there are some really helpful videos on Youtube. If you already have one, I'd suggest just rebuilding it. The kits are under $20 last I checked.
A couple of things I have learned over the years when rebuilding carbs;
Find a clean space, preferrebly a table with a chair a lots of light.
Get a large flat metal cookie sheet or something similiar to sit the carb in take it apart. This will save any little ball bearings or clips that may fall out.
Lay everything out in a organized fashion.
Take the carb apart as little as possible just to clean it up. Don't take every little bolt, nut, linkage, etc apart if you do not have to. You just want to take it apart enough to replace gaskets and rubber pieces, and clean all the little holes and passagways.
Yes drew1 I may be interested, on my carb the spot where my gas linkage hooks to is wore out and sloppy. If he wants to get rid of it let me know. May want it if the price is right'
He did replace it with a holly 390 4-bbl I think is what he said. He bought the single barrel carburator (that he replaced) last year and it was working well when he replaced it. I'll check with him for a price but I suspect we can work a deal.
