John Deere 1010 Carb

Any of you ever rebuilt a John Deere 1010 Carb?
today we pullded it out of the barn after about 8 years of sitting and the carb leaks. So i am rebuilding it. it looks to be the same style of carb used on the Ford 9n

Any tips?

yes, but it's been probably 25 years. As I recall it's a very simple carburator, if it's leaking, it's probably just a stuck float.

ok
we moved the throttle and it started leaking so we are going ahead and rebuilding it just to be sure

Check out your local Farm and Ranch store, often they carry rebuild kits and can also get rebuilt carbs for little money.

TSC, comes to mind for me.

Is it a Zenith? Very simple, but 1010 parts can be quite expensive if your planning on doing some major work the tractor. Hope it works out for you.

Yea TSC is ordering one for us and yes it is a Zenith
actualy it is in very good condition nothing wrong with it the paint is still shiney.

One problem is the bolts that bolt the rim to the center of the wheel have rusted solid and we cannot tighten them or loosen them any ides?
