No Start???

Alright, drove the truck to work today. everything was fine / like normal. i had P0470, P1209, P1211 codes ever since i put on the Edge attitude w/ Juice eight months ago. So went out to start truck two hours after getting here and nothing. I turn the key and everything is normal, i get all dash lights, radio turns on, fuel pump runs, got plenty of volts. But after the plug warms up and i go to start the truck, when the key is turned all the way i get nothing. doesn't even try to start. So took off the battery cables, reset and re attached the cables. still nothing..... checked the codes and the only one pulling is P0603. Which i am to believe is the edge doing this. So any advice of suggestions to try would be amazing. Thanks in advance. also i smacked the crap out of the starter.

What year truck? If it is the 2002, try starting in neutral if automatic or gently easing shifter more towards park?

i assume you are saying starter is not engaging. Or does it turn over but not start?

There's 2 torx head bolts that need to be tightened. You'll find them if you wiggle the shifter and follow the cable down to the steering column

Awesome. I am assuming you are talking about the two facing towards the motor at the end of the selector. Now, i guess ill hijack my own thread. Is there any way to get the slack out of the changer itself. Like say how much it moves when in drive without taking it out of gear?

Yes. There is a write up on it somewhere. Tightening those 2 bolts tightens the slop. Hopefully someone can add a link to it I'm on my phone.

Here's a pic that John is talking about. This will likely take up most of the slack, there are bushings also in the steering column that can wear as well.
