Hey brotherhood, I have another question for you all. so my truck I buy used but I love it 03 f250 lariat fx4 crew cab. and when I bought it the truck has the plug in for the heater for engine I want to know how can I check to see if it works and also does it just take a extension cord and that's all?
thanks for your help
yep, extension cord is all you need. If you a volt/ohm meter you could check the heater that way. Set meter to read ohms, place one lead on flat blade of plug, and the other lead on the other blade, you should get a reading, not sure what exactly

Did a little checking and calculated resistance (ohms) based of wattage spec for heater, you should be reading somewhere in the neighborhood of 14.5 ohms.

Don't sweat it, that's what the Brotherhood is here for! The only stupid question is the one not asked. Some day you will be able to offer your advice to a newbie, not that I'm a expert, far from it.
