Two things

First, about six months ago I got a letter from an attorney about a case action law suit against Ford. For those of us that have had the typical problems with our 6.0. Has anyone else gotten any info on this?

Second, I have a message (where the odometer is) that says "TBC fault". Anyone else ever get this? And what do I need to do?

Yeppers, all of the above. The letter is garbage cause your not the original owner, and I've had the TCB light on for a while, it's something in the controller in the dash and I haven't had time to mess with it.It's most likely the head unit cause if I wiggle the wires on the head it flickers and stuff, the head unit is 179.00 from Ford

I've gotten letters from two different law offices and we are the original owners. We tossed 'em both as our truck hasn't had any of the problems, and now that I've done a bunch of proactive bullet-proofing, it probably never will.

Never had the brake controller issue, tho we have gotten msgs when the trailer has a connection problem (nice feature). I would get that fixed soon if it was our truck, but we tow all the time. If you don't tow, not really much to worry about...

Those letters are just lawyers trying to make money and get everyone on the bandwagon. I remember one time I got in on one of those class-action lawsuits against eBay. How much did I make from it? 97 cents.

TBC troubleshooting

First make sure your batteries are healthy and check battery grounds
Then check the trailer wiring and the controller wiring

Some troubleshooting info in the thread below:
