Hard Start?!
Hey guys, ive got a 1991 F250 with a 7.3L IDI. Its been having trouble starting lately. It cranks and cranks for about 45 seconds before it starts, then it white smokes and runs rough for 30 seconds and then its fine. Im thinking injector leak but wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas? Thanks in advance!

Probably a glow plug issue. Or air intrusion, but GP is a good place to start (no pun intended.)

The glow plugs are rand new, less than a month old. Had the glow plugs and the glow plug controller done due to a no start. It started fine for a few weeks now the hard start issue. Any guesses on where to start looking for an air? Thanks guys

what type of glow plugs were put in?
if they are not motorcraft ZD-9 plugs, they are probably bad again.
you could also have a weak starter and batteries, but my money is on air intrusion or glow plugs.
