I have a 1985 ford f250 6.9, just started having problems starting, i have a new relay hooked up to switch in cab light comes on. I replaced 6 glow plugs zd-1a motorcrafts. when i try to start it it just cranks and cranks fast enough to start. use starting fluid fires right up. Is there a way to bypass the glow plug controller??? Ive heard just unpluging the controller?? Also on warm start ups it idles fine then starts chugging and will stall then hard to start after.. if you keep it running (givving it fuel) it smooths out and runs fine. I need to know if im better off bypass the the GP controller or buying a new one (almost $200!!). Also any diagrams will help very much on how to bypass..
