Doing the AC mod and...

I was doing the mod, when I went to tee into the metal canister on the passenger side. It was too my discovery that the white(vacuum line??)
had completely dry rotted and disconnected. I found where it used to connect to it starts running into the cab.

What am I looking at to fix this?

I cut the white line back to where it was still good and used windshield washer hose to slip over it.

It's a bypass valve to keep the water from running in the heater core during the summer. I can't remember the valve part number I got though...

A good clean and properly charged system shouldn't need it.
You guys would be suprised at how much colder you A/C would get just by cleaning the condenser and evaporator core.
