Found with the ease and user friendly access to my online image site I rarely dealt with trying to resolve problems with uploading to FTE album/gallery??? However, found there are couple down sides; once one cancels membership all pictures linked to all forum threads in the past are voided. Also, since I am not a social network type person, and although online image storage sites are suppose to be privacy protected I will never store personal, or family pic's in my online photo library since the site is part of the public domain.

It took me about 30 seconds to pull this from my picasa web album and post it here.
When I took the picture I uploaded it directly from my phone to my web album.

NICE KITTY!!!!

You're on the right track. You should look at image codes until you have the tags down flat - they're really pretty simple. inside a pair of brackets you have img on the first one, and /img on the one that CLOSES the image.

I type in that kind of stuff freehand from long experience

Code:
[img]http:www.picture.com/something.jpg[/img]
It looks like that before posting up

Between them is the address of the picture

The reason the first three didn't go is because they are on your own computer - your "C" drive

PICS ARE HOSTED SO THAT THERE IS ACCESS FROM OUTSIDE - YOUR OWN COMPUTER WILL (hopefully!) PREVENT PEOPLE ACCESSING FROM OUTSIDE JUST TAKING THINGS, so in theory we can make our own pictures ON OUR OWN pc's available to the net - except that is a bad security risk, which is why we don't do it that way

I think I know how to change permissions in my PC to do that - but it would be a terrible idea!
"Marvin the Martian" is always out there, trying to get into our stuff.
Should someone raid your pic's - that's all they can get on a host server!

A server is a totally different thing from a home desktop, and that is part of why.
~Dutch

"C:" is your PC's hard drive, and all PC's have one that is designated the same. Browser software ignores that address unless you are surfing offline or in your own computer

I could go deeper, but it would confuse things

FTE gallery appears to be alive and well.

As far as linking images; the last thing I would want to do is fiddle around with computer when I don't have a clue as it is; so far, being selective which pic's I keep in the online image gallery has worked well for me.

I may have filled my own up, long ago. FTE came up with "ALBUMS" at some point - and I was able to upload even more.
