Renting tires
I debated putting this in GA, but it's really a financial deal. I saw something today about people getting tires at 'rent to own' places.
They were paying $50+/month for THREE YEARS. Customers who were interviewed knew it was a bad deal, but said that it was the only way that they could manage.
I feel for those folks, but they really need to try and get their finances in order. This is a ripoff right up there with payday loans.

Prolly 44's...
If they put $50 away every month - but who does practical finance these days?
"YO! You can GITS DIS!!!"
What's funny is that it's fools and scammers scamming themselves...
Now think about all the cars in the projects with 21" rims and low sidewalls that cost more than the car. It would be less expensive to just buy a bumper sticker that clearly states: IDIOT!
"Yo man, I gots ta do dis so it looks like I have cash..."
NO! *giggles* You are doing that to show that you DON'T, and wouldn't know what to do if you did

"HOW DO THEY REPO THEM?"
It seems to me they would have to take the entire vehicle, and either take the tires off - OR hold the entire car, truck, or Motorcycle for ransom until it is SOLD TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE UP!
*all of that would be written into the original deal, in suitable lawyer language
I wonder how many car lots they now own?

They can sell 'em for whatever they want to...
What I WANT TO KNOW: Where do they hold their auctions?
THAT is where the money is to be made...
I know - it seems wicked, nasty, and downright mean. But anybody who gets suckered into that probably figures they had a way out or just didn't care.
Careless folk have to be educated somehow.
