Injector Pump and Timing Troubles
I removed the IP to fix the gasket at the bottom of the IP housing adapter. after I got it put back together I realized my scribe marks had been messed up. I got it back as close as I could to where it was originally. It took for ever to start and when it did it ran terrible and put out a massive white cloud of smoke. I tried turning the pump clockwise like a distributor on a gasser but broke the elbow that come out the top of the IP for the return line........... So my two questions are was I on the right track turning the pump? And do I got to have this elbow with what looks like a 1 way valve on the end or can I use a regular brass elbow with out the valve?

Scratch the whole elbow thing after looking at it some more the elbow and valve are separate things and part of the elbow broke off in the valve with a bit sticking out. Now to figure out how to get it out.
