Greetings -
For those that have adjusted their injector pump timing:
I've recently adjusted my injector pump timing, but I'm not sure if my injector pump was turning freely. When rotating the pump body, the high pressure lines also turned with the body. Is this normal? I only had to turn the pump a little bit to advance my timing, but it seemed like it wouldn't turn much farther. I'm wondering if maybe my pump is not rotating freely? Are they always this hard to rotate?
Thanks!
Hi, I changed my IP in the spring and I had everything hooked up just like you do when I timed it. Yes it is very hard to get any movement out of it I moved it an eighth of an inch and i used channel locks with a 3' pipe on the end to get enough force to hold it while I tighten up the bolts. There is a tool you can by to make it easier but why spend the money when channel locks does the same thing. Hope this helps.
