Lowered front suspension questsion

Ok so I fianlly got the front of my 64 lowered to match the back. It looks great! I had a local spring shop rearach the front springs but had a few questions.

1. The steering wheel is now off center to the right 1/4 turn or so. Should I heat and bend the steering arm that comes off the spindle to correct this or should I cut and shorten the pitman arm??

2. Is it ok to keep the stock front shocks or should I move the top shock mount up 3" to accommodate the drop?

The front has been lowered 3" and the rear has a axle flip. It bottoms out on big bumps and was considering a small C notch up front with new bump stops to allow more travel. I was also told an alinement would correct the steering, but it drives straight now? The rear of the drag link is now higher than the front. Level is where I should be correct?
Thanks for the help/advice.

Since the drag link is not adjustable, you will have to bend the steering arm to re-clock the wheel.

Shock mounts should be moved or get shorter shocks.

Draglink should be as close to level as possible or you will get bumpsteer.

This may seem like a dumb question; maybe I missed something, but if your front wheels point straight ahead but your steering wheel is a quarter turn to the right, why not take your steering wheel off and reclock it a quarter turn to the left to the straight ahead position? My '66 F100 wheel can be positioned anywhere I want it. Same is true for my '64 Falcon. I would be surprised if it were not true on your '64.

That could be done but would not correct the problem. I think since it sits 1/4 to the right I'm loosing steering ratio to the right. Hope that makes sense. It drives straight but that's with the steering wheel to slight right of center.
