Banks downpipe question??

i ended up using a saw-zall to cut the housing. was a bit rough, but nothing a grinder couldn't take care of. i have a 190 MIG welder. you will have to probly max out you welder, but you can help it out some by leaving a decent gap between the outlet housing and the v-band flange, and also you can bevel the two pieces for a little easier penetration.

105amps is cutting it close... Best estimate is to compare the thickness of the metal to the amps 105a will mean it can do .105" thickness just fine.... Its a conservative measure, but works well.
The banks DP is a decent upgrade if you dont want to mess with the elbow. The outlet of the elbow is about the same size as the exhaust wheel, so huge gains arent going to happen, however, if you ever feel like you might upgrade the turbo in the future, a full 3" upgrade is a good choice, especially if its bolt on.

call banks directly and give them the part number that is in the summit racing link that is posted above. some have gotten them from summit but they got the run around from summit about the pipe or something like that. they are around $110-$120 from banks iirc.
