Glad I found this forum. I am a member of a few Mustang forums and an EXP forum as well. I have been an avid Ford truck fan my whole life. I have only owned Ford trucks with the exception of a 96 Nissan I had for a couple of years and have had several Ford Trucks. My first truck was an 81 XLT that I absolutly loved untill one unfortunat day it decided to challeng a pine tree. Unfortunatly we both lost.
My current truck is nothing special, it is a 2003 F-150 XL 4.2 V6 5spd that I bought new and is now getting very close to 200,000 miles. It’s about as basic as a truck gets. I did get the dealer to add cruise control though due to all of driving I was doing at the time. I only drive her a couple times a week now but she still runs like the day she did when she was new. The only issues I have with her is the rear passenger door won’t open for some reason, and it needs a tail gate because my dad had a momentary lapse of reason and forgot how to hook up a trailer.
I am currently in the middle of a major restoration on a Mustang and will be looking for possibly a 53-56 or a 67-72 to play around with. Unfortunately it won’t be real soon. Maybe in about a year or so. I figured I would go ahead and join to get some education and see all the great knowledge you all have to offer.
Sorry for the bad pics but unfortunately they are the only ones I have
My 03
My first truck an 81 EXT
I gave this all original 71 Ranger XLT to my nephew a couple years ago with the condition he wouldn’t do anything dumb to it. I had it for several years and enjoyed it but didn’t have time for her.
This is my old 60 F-100 that I restored. Unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of the final product. I don’t think I even owned a camera back then lol. And yes for some crazy reason I painted her yellow. The grill and the middle of the hood were black.
In the process of being painted

Welcome to the forum I think you will find a wealth of information on ford trucks of all years on this site. I see f1504x4driver already has directed you to a local chapter
If you go to the F150 forum I would guess you could find a answer to your door problem.
