Hello everyone from Las Vegas, NV. I've owned various Ford trucks for more than 25 years and they are my preferred brand, although my daily driver is a Dodge with Cummins motor; I still wish I had my 1995 Ford F350 with the PowerStroke diesel, I miss that truck! I kind of gave up on newer Ford trucks when they dropped the 7.3 and went to the 6.0 diesel, but have re-focused on older Ford trucks.
My wife drives a new F-150 with all the bells & whistles; I love that truck! My newest acquisition is my Grandfather's 1964 F-700 dump bed truck, with I believe the 292 V-8 and 4-speed trans (my avatar). It's sat for about 6 years, so I've started cleaning it up again to drive it. I want to use it on my mini-ranch in another state.
Here it is just after I loaded it up to bring it from northern California to Vegas:
Here are some other Ford trucks I cleared out of my Grandfather's farm a couple of years ago.
A 1942-ish G8T, minus doors and most of the interior:
Sadly, I tried for more than 6 months to find a buyer for this truck but couldn't...off to the scrapper it went.

I took this fairly intact & complete 1960 F100 4x4 (under 100K miles, all original!!) home with me, but ended up selling it on eBay to a fellow in Connecticut:

The "Mayflower" pickup, a 1956 F250:
I grew up with this truck and rode in it many a time as a kid...it was supposed to be mine as a teenager to drive when I would spend the summers (in the 1970s, a little while ago!) there at my grandparents' farm. But it sat too long & needed too much work.
I took it home and sold it to a friend, who in turn sold it to a hot rod shop. It was in bad shape, with a LOT of cab & body rust. The interior floorboards were pretty shot and it was a lot more beat up than I remembered as a teenager. It belonged to Mayflower Van Lines at one time, and my Grandfather bought it when they decided to get rid of it. It had a V-8 engine but I don't remember which kind.
I don't have much use for rear-wheel-drive trucks, as my property out of state is unimproved and the last time I took a 6x4 semi-tractor there to drop off a trailer, I got stuck! So I tend to stick to all-wheel-drive trucks, but my 64 F700 is in too good of shape (less than 50K original miles, less than 30K on replacement engine) and has a dump bed, which I need. I have a older Deuce-and-a-half dump truck with a gasoline engine, but it's been sitting for many many years and needs a complete overhaul. So, the F700 will fit the bill for quite a while to come.
