Electrical issues
I have an 03 expedition with the 5.4. we were driving along today and hit a bump then the rig quit. it wouldnt restart untill after i towed it back to the house and disconnected the battery and cleaned the terminals. after the rig had restarted the radio will not turn off and the door alarm will not shut off even with the key out of the ignition. ive checked fuses and relays and have not found anything out of the normal. tried disconnecting battery and reconnecting after a period of time and had no change. any help would be appreciated.

One thing they all have in common is the ignition switch. When you say "Door Alarm" are you seeing a "Door Ajar" message on the message center screen? Or is it just a chiming? Because if it's just a chiming, that will happen if you leave your key in the ignition with the door open. Again like the ignition switch thinks the key is still in the ignition, when it's really not. Possibly spray some electrical contact cleaner into the switch and hope that it cleans out somebody's old coffee or soda residue or something. Other than that I'd say the dealer is gonna have to check it out.
