Door open chime
My door chime goes off when I open my door without the key in the ignition. Is this how it's suppose to be or do I have an electric issue? 2001 F250 5.4. I am loving my new truck! If it wasn't for high gas prices I'd be driving this beast every day.

Not supposed to do that. Your ignition switch probably thinks the key is inserted, because the switch has failed. Could be shorted wires in the column too. But the switch itself has been known to fail like that.
