I just got finished doing what you are talking about for the same reasons. I pull frequently with a trailer that had my 6.2 overloaded by Fords standpoint - but the truck would pull it just fine - Stop Fine - etc.
I also did what you are talking about and upgraded the interior ( man it is sweet ) with the Lariat package + Lariat Interior Pkg (Heat/Cool Seats).
I think that I made the right decision - but time will tell....
Good luck with your decision!
2011 - 6.2 White vs. 2013 Kodiak Brown 6.7
Sharp truck! The more I see that color, the more I like it.
That's why I was thinking about waiting until the 2014's come out. I'm interested in what Ford is going to do. Either a mild update, or an overhaul of the Super Duty line.
On a side note, a really good friend of mine bought a Dodge 2500 Longhorn Laramie over last weekend. We debated about Dodge vs Ford for a bit, and left it at Fords are better because they look better. Well at 300 miles on the brand new dodge, this is what happens. I told him that is what he gets for buying a Dodge. He laughed it all off because the day after that happened, the bully bar he ordered showed up at his house.
