Went to a friends house today who had an IR temp gun... Not sure how accurate the actual readings are but i was more looking to see how much of a temp drop I am getting at the outlet of the radiator. Temp of outside of hose just after the tstat neck - max of 170-175f. Temp on bottom radiator hose was max 140-150. Truck had been idling for about 5 minutes. ECT and EOT according to Torque app were 207 and 209 respectively. If just left to idle, the temps drop down to these readings. If driving, temps go back up to 220+. While cruising, I am not seeing a change in temps really if I get the RPM's up (trying to rule out water pump.)
New issue as well... Or at least something I just now recognized. Went WOT today for the first time and noticed a 'miss' or something at WOT. This symptom did not exist before I took the truck in for all the work.
Positive that the two issues (high temps and misses) are not related, so who knows. Updated RCD via email... Asked them to call me early tomorrow morning.
I have a few gadgets but haven't bought a temp gun yet. Not sure what those temps should look like.
You should get one! I bought a cheap Harbor Freight unit to test some chimney pipe on a stove (heating) I put in. Worked great up until I shot the wife in the A$$ with it...
You may want to look at, water pump also radiator hoses that can collapse under pressure. I know it sounds weird I had a 76 f250 hiboy with a 351w that would over heat then it wouldn't?
Water pump had good flow but as I was adjusting carb I happened to look down as I accelerated engine and watched lower hose close shut replaced it with a new one, guess what so did the new one. I made my own coil spring with a wire coat hanger put it inside hose and problem was gone!
Fan is operating correctly and coming on STRONG at 219+.
Not sure when degas cap was last replaced... Not in the past 9 months anyway. The system does hold pressure, as there was still pressure when I removed the cap this morning while checking things.
I've read about the 03 water pumps. Fack.
Guess I will wait to talk to RCD monday morning.
According to Ford Values that's Low
Below is KOEO--Low Idle--High Idle Values
With truck @ ECT/EOT 190*+and in Park with A/C Off
Sorry... I was talking about ECT of 219. Will get fan speed readings tomorrow morning first thing. 219*F is when the thing sounds like it will lift off. lol

Oh OK!!!
Sounds good then at High ECT Temp anyway
Does Fan come on in Lower Temps Like the Post above
Yes... Fan speeds are definately registering at idle. Do not know exact numbers, but I'm pretty sure they were within the range you posted.
Head gaskets better not be toast. I just got the truck back 4 days ago with 2 new heads, head gaskets, ARP studs, EGR delete, coolant filter, fuel filters, blue spring, banjo bolts, etc.
