Stereo shuts off only while driving

If it dies and then comes back, especially on bumps, I would suspect a ground problem. Do you have a ground wire bolted to the metal case of the stereo, and then running to a good spot under the dash that is metal?
The face area of the dash where the stereo mounts has metal in it and is grounded, but sometimes the stereo ends up just sitting in that area and doesn't make good contact sometimes.

Checked the stereo ground and its good I also noticed that all my lights are flickering so I put in a brand new alternater but that didn't fix anything and I got brand new positive and negative cables
