Im curious to see what Happens
Normaly a bad EBP sensor dwill give bad Value at KOEO yours is Good from what Iv seen so I just dont have the Warm Fuzzey feeling that the EBP Sensor is the Culprit YET
Didn't get you last post until just now. I unbolted the clamp bolts at the cat (intake) and wedged a wood shim in there to give a good 1/4 gap to vent. Numbers are pretty much the same:
I came across my notes when I bought the truck and first hooked up the scangauge. I see that my values were closer to normal then. Either the EBP has gone bad since then, or I messed it up while cleaning it when I had it out. Either way looks like a new one is in order. Whats another $80 in the grand scheme of upgraded parts I've put into it already anyways.
Local dealer wanted $120 for it. Talk about markup...
when your in there cleaning, try the IAT2 (intake air temp) things got a little better Benny, wouldent hurt to try, cleaner with carb spray just dont hit the electrical parts and use your safty glasses that stuff burns like
Any updates on this? I'm curious to hear what the outcome is...
Not sure if you're referring to the original poster or my hijack. In my case, I've ordered a new EBP sensor from Tousley ford and expect it in any day. I also ordered the turbo mounting kit in the event I do end up pulling the turbo off for a cleaning.
So my EBP sensor came in today, so I'm in the process of finishing up installation. Unfortunately, I didn't get the truck up to operating temps before doing the VGT relearn, so I'm going to have to redo it.
When I was installing the new sensor, I noticed that it didnt bottom out on the mount threads completely. I'm not sure how far the old one went in, but am apprehensive about tightening it any more. I can't find any reference pics with a view of how much thread is left, so if anyone can confirm that mine is pretty well seated, I'd appreciate it.
Truck is running great so far. I'll have to bring it out to the grade that I was tripping the P0299 on to see if it pops up again. Thanks for your help Blade
