I'm getting ready to order one of these for a 2012 F250 and do a flush mount on my bumper and have a couple questions. Can someone please send me a link that shows a really good installation guide? I've done some searches and everybody has their own way of doing it but wasn't for sure if some ways are better than other.
Is there a way to wire these in to my Aux switches and my high beams too? I would like for them to come on when I hit my high beams but also be able to turn them on manually with the aux switch.
Thank you for your help.
Oh yeah, how do you post details about yourself on these pages? For the life of me can't figure it out.
I can't help you with the install as I don't have one. The bracket/mounting solution from Rigid shows instructions. You may want to check it out.
You can wire the bar so that it comes on with the high beams or independently with a relay.
Click "User CP" in the upper left hand corner of the solid blue bar at the top of the page. You can add information there. The information at the bottom of each post for each person is called a signature. I think that is what you mean...you can get to that in the User CP (user control panel) as well. Just click "Edit Signature"
Rigid has a bunch of mounting options.
I went with the cradle mount for mine. I installed it on the lower part of the push bar. I used their security nuts to attach the light. I just had mine wired to a toggle switch that lights up at night. I don't use it that often, I originally planned on having to use when living up north in the winter time. Then moved south go figure.
But it will light up a field like nothing else. I also have two of the small cube lights under the rear bumper for light when backing up to my camper, trailer and such. It's more for me when I'm outside of the truck and not necessarily backing up as the new cameras do pretty well.
If you pick up the light bar make sure and buy the plastic light covers that they sell. It really helps protect the lights from rocks and such. Mine have been on almost a year and really saved my lights especially following someone down a gravel road.
I had a pain in the *** finding info on my install as well. The mount itself lines up in a way that its obvious. There is only one way it can be mounted and all the holes should line up without any effort. As far as the light goes, run the red wire to the battery, ground on any screw, and the BLUE wire connects to your aux switch.

Gah, wish I had seen this thread yesterday before I wasted an hour and two fuses.
