Welcome to Saturday! I hope you have a enjoyable day planned.
Be safe & have fun whatever your doing.
Karls fever broke lastnight, so he's feeling much better today. He still has his his sore throat, but thats what he gets for kissing his sick girlfreind. LOL! Oh well, kids... they have to learn the hard way I guess.
I can't blame him. I would'nt let a little thing like her being sick keep me from kissing my girlfriend.........
Happy Mother's Day! Especially, to all of the single Dad's that are or have raised a child alone! I commend you for taking on both roles as a parent!
Greg - Sorry to hear about your accident. Glad that you & the truck are okay. Did he have insurance & is he going to cover the costs to repair what little damage there is to the Ford? It might not seem like a big deal, but you have a classic & it is harder to fix a dent in steel compared to his aluminum Toyota - unless ofcourse you like/don't mind Bondo. Oh btw, I emailed your post to Jimmy. Ya just gotta love them made of steel, carburated, easy to work on, sleep in the engine compartment old vehicles! You can practically back into a cement pillar & maybe get a scratch!
Happy Mother's Day to all.
I hope it is wonderful day for all.
Donna: Honestly I didn't worry about it. It is in a place I can fix it without too much trouble.
It will be a good while before I can even think about doing body work on the rest of the truck so why worry about one more little ding?
Insurance rates are bad enough as it is from people filing false injuries and such. I didn't see the point in calling the insurance companies.
Happy Monday!
Well, it's the beginning of a new week, and my Mother's Day was awesome!
We are in recovery mode from Lake Lahontan yesterday & boy, are we feeling it! Atleast I got rid of my farmers tan, although I still have tan lines - Damn it! LOL!
We all have sunburns (not as bad as last year - thank God) & Karl is now wearing Cammys old air/walking cast for a couple of days. I guess he kicked a rock while he was wading out to swim in the lake. It wasn't bad until we got home & noticed that one of his toes was swelling & had turned black & blue. By the time we all went to bed, he was hopping everywhere cause it hurt to walk. Jimmy thinks it's just a bad bone bruise, but I think he may have broken it or atleast chipped the bone.
Jimmy doesn't want him to using the crutches, saying " Man up!... it doesn't hurt that bad! You shouldv'e worn your shoes like we told you too." OK, so it's not THAT bad if you compare it to a Tib/Fib Fracture or something like that, but really?? It still hurts enough for him to cry. So, I found Cammys air cast in the shed from when she used to play soccer (3 broken toes & across the top of her foot that year) so him to use. Karl prefers it, cause now Jimmy can't say anything or tease him since he's able to walk on it again.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed your day yesterday & hopefully this week will be awesome!
