I forgot to tell you guys about the day I picked up my motorcycle...
We went down witht the trailer to pick it up, & we tried to start it just for s**ts & giggles, & it fired right up just like I thought! So Jimmy puts on the helmet while it's warming up & by the time he starts to leave, it dies again! He started it again & it started to spit & sputter, then died again. He asked how much gas was in it & I told him that it was low, but it should've been fine to get there & back a few times! Then he tells me that gas will evaporate in a motorcycle. Well gee... I didn't know that! So, I check it & sure enough, it's outta gas! Really?...first it breaks down & now it's out of gas!! Go figure! That's just my luck too. GRRR! So we ended up having to trailer it home anyway. Boy, did I feel stupid.
On a side note - Jimmy figured out that the wire that goes from the starter switch to where ever does have a good connection & that's why it wouldn't start. If you have the handlebars straight it doesn't lke to start, but if they are turned in the locked position...It'll start every time. So it's pulling on the wire somehow. Anyway, that's how my day went that day. Atleast we figured it out though.
Good that you were able to get it home.
I bet you feel silly over the out of gas but at least it prompted more investigation that lead to the discovery of how to get it to start.
Howdy Donna, Greg! Donna, could have been worse! But, you learned something, so that's okay. Greg, I'd be back in bed if I had the option!
Just had another idea for the 67 (that will probably cause me lots of work and heartache), to see if I can somehow transfer the inner door handles off of the 79 parts truck I'm buying, so I can use these 79 XLT door panels from Dennis Carpenter.
Pat, wouldn't that involve actually working on the truck?
Yeah, yeah, yeah....Hey, it needs to warm up, I don't work in the cold. We just had snow yesterday! But, the sub box is on the wall, and about half the conduit run for it, should have the rest, and the wiring to the box this weekend, then I can run some outlets.
Have a great day & I hope you have a blast this weekend whatever your doing!
Today is school picture day & this morning has already started out crappy for my kids! Karl & Kaedon get up & come out to eat breakfast before getting dressed & Karl starts gets an attitude with Kaedon & complains about
the choices of cereal because Jimmy has 1 box just for him (Rice Chex) & that's what Karl wanted. Ofcourse, he couldv'e chosen any one of the other 4-5 kids cereals in the cabinet, but no. Then he starts yelling at me for putting their bowls & spoons out for them. (He's a big boy & can do it himself!!!) He just wanted to complain all morning about everything! What a way to start off the day.
Morning Jim, I'll trade you. 38 with melting snow.
DONE!!!
I made a big mistake yesterday. Went off to do my errands, and did not take any water with me. After spending 45 minutes at the DMV and still not being called, I went out into the parking lot, and my right calf muscle cramped up so bad I almost fell over. Right about then is when I realized I had not had anything to eat or drink since the bowl of cereal for breakfast. After what seemed like eternity, the pain finally went away and I hobbled around a bit, then went back inside. Another 45 minute wait, and I was done. Poorer, but legal.
Donna, the first time my kid yelled at me would be the last time he/she did...
Greetings everyone. I hope everyone has a great Day.
Mine just got a whole lot better.
My mother just offered to give me the money to continue my school!!!
