I know this is older post but can someone tell me if you can cut and solder those two sensors (ckp and cmp)I have a shop that is telling me it would be cheaper as I am on a tight budget to get my truck fixed.
As I posted on the other forum, that wouldn't be something I would want to have done, but there is a thread (I believe it is on this forum) where someone did do it.
I have been looking for it, but no luck yet.
Edit -
Here is the thread I was thinking of (reps to you David). It is on the Cam sensor and not the Crank sensor, but same principle I would imagine.
I can't believe that a shop would go through all of the trouble described in the thread though.
Was wondering if you guys want to sell those piles of used harnesses? I do repair my harnesses unless they are very burned and could use some extra connectors. pm me if your interested.
Thanks, Kevin
Alliant Power sells most of the replacement plugs for the harness just for reference.
I do use them occasionally but I also do sectional repairs on burned harness sections and could use the wire in the old harnesses to keep with the original color scheme. Thank you!
