2005 F -350 6.0 ok guys heres the question which harness ,5c3z-12b637-aa or 5c3z-12b637-ba ,went to the local ford dealership and found out production date was 11/13/04 and at that date they changed from aa to ab how can i tell the difference ,no tag on harness and its out of the truck now
The dealership should be able to tell you from your VIN number. Give Tousley Ford parts a call and have your VIN ready. Also, if the harness has a tag of any kind on it, it's probably got an International part # on it.
I can't see anything in your picture post but a tag that says "EDIT"
I would get the up dated one. Its just a higher quality harness it should swap straight over fine.
I wouldn't count on that. It could be a difference in MAF or EBP location as IIRC there were some placement differences, not to mention two different production plants.
no pics ,had to hock the camera to buy the harness ( lmbo) install was pretty easy, started at pcm and worked across, dont plug anything up ,just have to take your time and ease it around and under a few places ..... until i got to the last one (crank sensor),thats where the fun begain , to congested to get your hand in to plug up conector tried several things, removed ground under a/c compressor still not enough room to get your hand far enough to connect plug, tried useing a coat hanger, passed it thru from the back side of the engine cross-member past the motor mount, out the other side, taped the plug on to the hanger ,thought to myself your a pretty smart fellow, but when i tried to plug it in there was not enough room to line it up,back to square 1 ,popped in here and got the bad news LOL a/c comp has to be taken loose ,lossened it up ,moved it over, snaped plug on ,bolted a/c back,re installed ground on block, belt tensioner, aluminum intake tube, passenger batt.(not connected), ficm, air breather and tubes back to turbo, overflow tank, drivers side batt.,connected both batteries, topped off overflow with distilled water, Drank a glass of tea and fired her up,was music to my ears
