4wd stuck
Yes ive read other threads and yes i have tried to hit the transfer case with a mallet/hammer and yes i have looked at the fuses and relay switches and the vac solenoid with no help. I took the motor off the transfer case and tried to see if it turned with motor running but seems the motor is dead. Not sure if its getting volltage but i did clean the connector.
I need someone to explain how the system actually works so i can step by step diagnose the problem. Where does the solenoid switch come into play and what drives it? etc etc
Sorry for attitude (if there is one) but i am a very frustrated ford owner!!!!
btw its stuck in 4 low and shows it too!

One last thing-i tried turning the actual post coming out of the transfer case but was afeared coz it seems there is quite a bit of spring to it-didnt want to mess that up!
